Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
We understand online shopping can sometimes be a little tricky. So, if for some reason you don’t love your purchase, that’s totally fine! While we don’t offer refunds or exchanges for purchases due to the fast turnover of our stock, you can choose to return it and we’ll provide you with an online store credit (as long as it meets the criteria listed below).
If you require a replacement size, colour or alternative item/s, you’ll need to place a new order with your credit note. Keep in mind the cost of returning an item is at the customer’s expense and store credits cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers. Credit notes are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
In order to successfully return your item, it must meet the following criteria:
- The item is returned within 14 days from the date you received it
- The item is in the same condition as received, i.e. new, unworn and with all the original swing tags and labels attached
- The item doesn’t have any dirty marks or stains, i.e. makeup, fake tan, etc.
- The item doesn’t smell of body odour, perfume, deodorant, cosmetics, washing powder, etc.
- The item isn’t sale merchandise of any kind, i.e. from promotions, online clearance sales, etc.
- For hygienic reasons, we’re unable to accept returns on JewelleryIn compliance with Australian Consumer Law, Id Clothing Boutique reserves the right to reject a return if we conclude it doesn’t meet the above criteria.
When it comes to shoes, please try them on a soft surface before they’re generally worn. We’ll not accept shoes returned with sole markings or scratchings and the box must be returned with the shoes. We also recommend trying on an item as soon as it’s received to ensure you’re able to return it within our 14 day return timeframe.
If you wish to return an item/s purchased through Afterpay, you must follow the same returns criteria as stated above. Once your item/s have been received and processed, we’ll contact you via email with your online store credit.
While you’ll have your credit to spend with us, please be aware your agreement with Afterpay will still stand and any scheduled repayments will continue to be debited from your nominated account. For more information on terms and conditions, visit Afterpay’s website here.
How to Return an Item
Once you’ve checked all conditions are met follow these few simple steps:
- Complete the returns form enclosed in your parcel or download a new one below
- Place the item/s you’re returning into the parcel and seal it up securely
- Send the parcel to the address below at your local post office or courier service of your choice
You don’t need to contact us prior to returning your parcel. Simply fill out the returns form and send it back within 14 days.
Id Clothing isn’t accountable for any items that go missing in the post. Therefore, we recommend using a tracked service for added security. We also don’t accept any parcel that requires payment on pick up and these will be refused. So please ensure shipping is fully paid for in advance or contact us if assistance is needed.

Processing of Returns
Each return will be carefully inspected by Id Clothing after receiving it back. We aim to process all returns within 2-5 business days of receiving it, but please keep in mind we don’t process returns until the item is physically received by us in our HQ. During sale periods and public holidays, we ask you to please allow for an extra 1-2 business days for the returns process.
If any of the outlined criteria isn’t met, the item will be returned to the sender. We’ll notify you by email once your return has been received and approved. In this email, you’ll receive your online store credit code. Your credit note code will be to the value of the product you’re returning and will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
Final Sale Items
All sale items (e.g. during special promotion sales where this is specifically noted or on the product description of a particular item) are final and cannot be returned (as stated by Australian Consumer Law). Any sale items which are returned will be refused upon delivery and returned to the sender.
We pride ourselves on personally checking and packaging all items before sending them out. However, on the rare occasion an item is found faulty, Id Clothing must be notified within 3 days of receiving the item. It’s the customer’s responsibility to ensure they’ve inspected the item upon receiving it. If a fault is found after that timeframe, we won’t accept it.
An item is considered faulty if a manufacturing fault has occurred within a reasonable amount of time. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if an item is found to be faulty due to the following, regrettably we’ll be unable to offer a credit:
- General wear and tear
- Obvious misuse
- Care instructions have not been followed correctly
- Item has been damaged in transit by the carrier
If you believe you’ve been sent a faulty or incorrect item, please notify us immediately by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting the order number and fault or incorrect item. We’ll handle your request with high priority to arrange the best possible course of action.
Once your item has been inspected and we too deem it faulty, we’ll happily replace or repair you the purchase price and postage in full. If we cannot repair or replace the style, we’ll offer an online credit note or refund. We don’t however cover the cost of the return postage. All claims for faulty items are assessed on an individual basis and the outcome of a refund is at our discretion.
Credit notes can be used to make a future purchase and are valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Your online credit note will be emailed to you once your return has been approved and processed. They can only be used via the form they were issued. This means online credit notes can only be used online and in store credit notes can only be used in store.
In the unlikely event we cannot fulfill your item due to a discrepancy in our stock, we’ll contact you via email to advise and provide you with a full refund to the card you used for the initial payment.
While every effort is made to display the correct colour of our garments, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be completely accurate. Please refer to the product description and closeup shot to see the true colour.
